A SumoKids' Creed

1. I will carry myself with pride at all times because I am a member of the SumoKids Club.


2. I will begin the day will courtesy, and end it with courtesy, not only in the ring, but in my daily life as well.


3. I will behave like a flower of the people and refrain from doing anything that shows a lack of public morality and common sense.
   I am part of this natural world. It nurtures me and I will preserve it.


4. I am ready to dedicate myself to such a rugged sport, disciplined, and a chance of success in the World of Sumo and life.


5. Each day, I will venture out into the world accompanied by three powerful new allies; confidence, pride, and enthusiasm.


6. I will greet each morning with goals for the day; I will make certain that all I have planned is completed before I sleep.


7. I will learn how to harness my impatience and deal with life a day at a time, "I can do it, I will do it."


8. There is nothing I cannot achieve if I try. Never again will I pity or belittle myself.


9. I will influence others by treating them in the same manner that I would like them to treat me.


10. I will remember this most difficult law of life - when one is asked to go one mile, one should willingly go two.


11. I promise, I swear, I vow - to never forget that the greatest talent I have is the power to realize my own potential as limitless.
